In short: this site sets no cookies at all. It stores three small values in your browser's session storage so that the brand introduction plays once per visit rather than on every page. Those values contain no personal data, are never transmitted to our server, and disappear when you close the tab.

2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and which is sent back to the server with subsequent requests. Cookies are commonly used for keeping people signed in, remembering preferences, measuring traffic and tracking behaviour across sites for advertising.
Browser session storage is different. It is also held by your browser, but it is never automatically transmitted to any server, it is accessible only to pages from the same website, and it is deleted as soon as you close the browser tab.
3. Cookies this website sets
None. At the date of this policy, alvorissoftware.tech sets no cookies of any kind — not essential, not functional, not analytical and not advertising.
If that changes, this page will be updated first, and where the law requires consent we will ask for it properly, with genuine controls rather than a decorative banner.
4. Browser session storage we do use
The site stores three values in your browser's session storage. They exist so that the ALVORIS brand introduction is shown once per browsing session rather than on every page you open, and so that the short transition between pages can display the destination page name.

None of these values identifies you, none is transmitted to our server, and blocking them affects nothing except that the introduction animation may replay.
If your browser has JavaScript disabled, or blocks storage entirely, the website continues to work normally — all pages, navigation and content remain fully available.
5. Why there is no consent banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is required before storing information on a user's device unless that storage is strictly necessary to provide the service the user has requested.
We have taken the view that a consent banner would be disproportionate here, because we set no cookies, run no tracking and use only a small amount of strictly presentational session storage that is deleted when the tab closes.
We would rather explain this on a page you can read than interrupt every visitor with a dialogue that has nothing meaningful to decide. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies or tracking, we will implement real consent controls with a genuine ability to refuse — not a banner where the only option is to agree.
6. Third-party content
This website loads no third-party scripts, fonts, advertising tags, video embeds, maps or social media widgets. All styling, scripting, imagery and iconography is served from our own domain.
This is a deliberate design decision. It keeps the site fast, avoids exposing visitors to third-party tracking and means the statements on this page remain accurate without ongoing monitoring of external suppliers.
Where a page links out to an external website — for example the Information Commissioner's Office — that link is clearly a link, and the destination site will have its own cookie and privacy practices.
7. Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs, as almost all web servers do. These record technical request information such as IP address, timestamp, the page requested, HTTP status code and browser user-agent string. They are used for security, fault diagnosis and abuse prevention only.
Server logs are not cookies and do not involve storing anything on your device. Their handling is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Managing storage in your browser
You remain in full control. Every major browser allows you to view and clear cookies and site data, block storage for particular sites, or use a private browsing window in which storage is discarded when the window closes.
These controls are found under settings such as Privacy, Security or Site Settings, depending on your browser. Clearing site data for alvorissoftware.tech simply means the brand introduction will play again on your next visit.
9. If our practice changes
If we later introduce cookies or any form of analytics, we will update this policy before doing so, describe precisely what is set and why, and implement proper consent mechanisms where the law requires them. We will not quietly add tracking and rely on a policy page nobody was told had changed.
